Active Middle Agers need to focus on recovery!

I have found that as I have gotten older, it takes me longer to recover from a hard workout. I spent all of my first round of P90x being very sore. It is never too late to get fit! This weekend, Fauja Singh, a 101-year old marathoner ran his last race. He did not start running until the age of 89! Most people are dead before 89 due to poor nutrition and health!

Ernestine Shepherd, my idol, is the worlds oldest, female body builder. She is now 75 years old. She did not start body building until her 50s!!!

Ernestine Shepherd is in better shape than most people, decades her junior. Up at 3 a.m. every morning, she spends her days running, lifting weights and working out. She also works as a certified personal trainer at her gym.
