Can you get results in 30min/day?

Can you get results in 30min per day?

What does the science say? YES! I love reading Steve Edward’s blog for his sound research into these fitness questions.

“Your body has an emergency response to exercise. When you begin, no matter what you’re doing, you burn glycogen for fuel. Once your body figures out that you aren’t in an emergency, it begins to conserve by shifting to body tissue, primarily fat stores, for energy. It was once assumed that training during this “fat burning” period was optimal for weight loss. Now we know it’s the opposite. If you take advantage of the glycogen window by training hard (and smart so you don’t get hurt) you can alter your body’s metabolism—the key to changing your body composition—quickly and efficiently. It is important to note that this doesn’t not mean longer exercise is bad/wrong/unnecessary. Especially athletes, who need 100% efficiency in performance, will need to train body systems that take more than 30 minutes to stimulate. But for the average time-crunched person it’s good to know that short, intense, exercise has been proven to be your ticket to staying healthy.”

For those of us used to training for an hour or more each day, it’s hard to believe that you can lose weight and get fit in less than 30minutes. Everyone in my Focus T25 challenge group is losing weight, losing inches, gaining cardiovascular endurance, and feeling better than ever, in just 25min each day. As one of my challengers put it, you can spend 25min choosing your clothes or spend 25min getting healthy! I choose to get healthy! Just this weekend, I had failed to workout in the morning. My husband and son left to go buy groceries for dinner. I had a light bulb moment. I could get my 25min workout in, and be done before they even got back! It worked perfectly!

Focus T25 Phase 1 results!

I just love reading posts like the following from my Focus T25 online fitness group! Knowing that I have helped someone make such profound changes in her life just warms my heart and makes my day! This post also highlights not to go by that darn scale!! The scale is often not your friend! Use it but don’t let it use you!

I started week 5 yesterday with total body. I still had the energy to complete the workout despite my two days off. My weight remains the same, however, I can move my watch to the next loop hole, my thighs or becoming smaller, my legs are toned, and my clothes are becoming loose. Not giving up just because the scale is not moving like I want it to. I continue to have a lot of energy, I can perform the moves faster and with better form, and I’m not taking a long nap after work, I’m sleeping through the night and waking up ready to go the next morning. I also notice I can return home and perform physical activities, such as, picking up the pine cones in my yard after my workout or after a long day of shopping. In the past I would usually sit lay down and go to sleep. So Alpha round almost completed getting ready for Beta.

Is Focus T25 for me?

Is Focus T25 for me? The videos look very challenging.

I have gotten that question from several people. To help them decide if this program is right for them, I decided to do Focus T25 Total Body Circuit, probably the hardest DVD in Alpha phase, doing only the modified moves. Some of you may know Tania as “The Machine” from Shaun T’s Insanity DVDs. In Focus T25, she modifies every move to make the program no impact.  As you can see from my video, no impact does not mean, not challenging. It is a fabulous workout with the modifications. The point to remember is to go at YOUR pace. You have to own this workout. None of the Beachbody programs are meant to be mastered in one round. You will get your money’s worth. I’ve done Insanity, Asylum, Les Mills PUMP and Combat, P90X, P90X2 and focus T25 kicks my butt! Why? Because I make it my own. That is the beauty of these programs! Do it at your level. Do not let your ego get in the way by trying to keep up with team. Shaun pushes you but he can’t see you through the screen. Let his words motivate you out of your comfort zone but no further!

Focus T25 Alpha Cardio – Day 1

Focus T25 Alpha Cardio Day 1

Here is a video I shot on Day 1 (Monday, July 8, 2013) of my Focus T25 Challenge Group. As you can see, I am sweating buckets! I think the most challenging aspect of this program is that I’ve been programmed through many rounds of Insanity and Asylum and in P90X/X2 to have a break! With Focus T25, since you’ve only got 25min, you have to give it your all for the full 25minutes! Tania does a great job of modifying to make this workout NO impact but still high intensity! So far my challenge group members are a mix of following Tania the whole time, to following her when they have nothing left to give. It will be so exciting to watch the progress as the weeks roll on! Questioning whether you can get results in 25min/day?

Are you questioning whether you can get amazing

results with Focus T25 in just 25min per day, 5 days

per week?

If so, you must read this interview with Tania Baron. You may know her as “The Machine” in Shaun T’s Insanity videos. Read her story and be inspired to make your own transformation!

“I work full time and I am a mother. I have zero time but there are no excuses with T25 — everyone can find 25 minutes. Honestly, it’s the only thing that motivates me to workout everyday — it’s only 25 minutes total of my day. To be in the best shape of my life post pregnancy, and almost 40, by just working out 25 minutes per day — why would I do anything else?”
